Via our database, we are able to provide the location of a replacement component while another is either in transit or being manufactured. This translates to higher productivity on site.

The rotation of existing spares may also be seen as a benefit. The saying “one man’s trash, is another man’s treasure” is particularly relevant within the mining industry. “Bone yards” are still scoured in an attempt to source rare items.

These rare items could present a monetary bonus to the owner if it is obsolete or replacement with a new unit if it is still of use.

A reduction in the amount of large spares held on site may also be achieved. If a neighbouring site has a spare and is willing to share it then this presents a reduction in capital outlay and may well provide a reduction to insurance premiums as well.
